Harriet Retford focuses her practice on litigation, with an emphasis on American Indian law, appellate litigation, and complex commercial litigation. She has experience representing business and individual clients in federal, state, and tribal court, and in regulatory investigations. As a member of the Navajo Nation Bar, she also advises clients on Navajo law compliance issues in transactional, litigation, and regulatory contexts.

Before joining the firm Harriet clerked for the Honorable Timothy M. Tymkovich on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
