LAS VEGAS – June 9, 2020 – Four attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Las Vegas office are included in Nevada Business’ 2020 “Legal Elite.” In addition, Shareholder Alayne Opie is listed in Nevada Business’ 2020 “Best Up and Coming.”
According to Nevada Business magazine, thousands of attorney nominations are submitted by their peers each year, and the resulting “Legal Elite” list highlights attorneys who have made significant strides in their respective practices. This year, in addition to Opie, Greenberg Traurig’s Mark Ferrario, Chris Miltenberger, and David Edington are recognized for their accomplishments in the June issue of the magazine.
Ferrario focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and construction law. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has utilized his persuasive skills to obtain favorable results in a wide variety of high-profile matters. He serves as lead counsel in jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations as well as appeals in matters involving construction, securities, contracts, civil rights, election and tort law. Ferrario appears in front of regulatory and legislative bodies on behalf of his clients. He regularly provides counsel to his clients on a variety of risk management topics.
Miltenberger focuses his practice on all types of litigation, with an emphasis on business and commercial disputes. He advises his clients with respect to commercial disputes both prior to the filing of a lawsuit and after the commencement of litigation. Miltenberger has represented a broad range of clients ranging from individual employees and investors to Fortune 500 companies in both state and federal court. As part of his representation, he has managed teams and guided clients through all aspects of litigation, from developing pre-litigation strategies through appeals. Miltenberger’s representations have included advising leaders in the gaming, hospitality and the construction industries in the prosecution and defense of complex, commercial claims.
Opie is a litigator, focusing her practice on business, commercial, gaming, product, employment, and legal malpractice disputes. She has experience in state, federal and multidistrict courts, including single plaintiff actions, class actions, and mass tort actions. Additionally, she has litigated cases involving consumer finance, construction defect, insurance bad faith and medical malpractice.
Edington handles a broad range of commercial real estate, development and finance matters across the country related to all types of real estate classes and has significant experience representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and all manner of leasing matters. Edington’s finance practice includes representing borrowers and financial institutions in connection with construction, bridge, and other general secured financings. He has a comprehensive business background, including deep knowledge of common-interest communities and community management, and uses this experience to approach legal issues with a business-oriented perspective and efficiently achieve practical and workable solutions.
