NEW YORK – Jan. 16, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP  continues strategic growth of its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice with the addition of Rose Cordero Prey as shareholder in its New York office. Prey joins from Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP where she was a partner.

Prey counsels clients on patent litigation, licensing, and due diligence in the mechanical, electrical, computer science, and life science industries. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in patent infringement and related litigation cases involving a wide array of technologies. Beyond law, Prey has unique, hands-on experience that includes studying laser welding and serving as an apprentice electrician.

“Rose is a talented trial attorney with unique experience and insight,” said Scott J. Bornstein, the firm’s Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice co-chair, and Global Patent Litigation Group co-chair, who is a shareholder in its New York office. “She is well-equipped to represent clients in Federal Courts at the trial and appellate levels and before the International Trade Commission. She enhances our already robust practice and we are excited to welcome her.”

“In a time of rapidly evolving technologies, Rose brings unique experience in patent litigation and licensing in mechanical, electrical, and computer science arts; her addition to our team at Greenberg Traurig further widens scope of services we offer our clients across a broad variety of industries,” said Stephen L. Rabinowitz, managing shareholder of the New York office.

“I am excited to work with a deep bench of top-notch lawyers and provide clients with the platform and depth of services Greenberg Traurig offers,” Prey said.

Prey received recognition in the field of intellectual property from Benchmark Litigation, New York Metro Super Lawyers, and the American Society of Legal Advocates. In addition, she is a 2017 Fellow of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity.
