LOS ANGELES (Feb. 26, 2014) — The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added shareholder Jennifer Gray to the Financial Services Litigation Group in Los Angeles. Gray joins the firm from OneWest Bank, FSB where she was the Head of Litigation and responsible for managing the bank’s class actions and escalated litigation.
Gray will continue to focus her practice on financial services litigation, including mortgage and consumer lending matters. She is experienced with class and mass actions, qui tam actions, regulatory investigations, and other high profile litigation before state and federal courts in matters involving consumer financial services. These cases typically arise under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act (RESPA), as well as state unfair and deceptive trade practices acts, the Bankruptcy Code, and predatory lending statutes. Additionally, Gray has experience providing a broad range of legal and compliance support related to lending and consumer protection laws. She has also represented financial institutions in antitrust class actions.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer held a number of senior in-house litigation positions. Before working at OneWest, she was Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase where she managed class actions related to mortgage servicing and originations, as well as individual borrower litigation and regulatory investigations. Before joining JPMorgan, Jennifer practiced commercial litigation in New York for more than 10 years at several national law firms.
