  • Advised clients on several M&A matters involving Brazilian assets, including two transactions awarded Private M&A Deal of the Year in Latin America from Latin Lawyer magazine for our representation of:
    • Navent, an online real estate marketplace in Latin America, in connection with its acquisition by QuintoAndar.
    • A consortium of investors in its acquisition of the business and assets of McDonald’s Corporation’s Latin American and Caribbean operations, including Brazil.
  • Counsel to MasterCard Inc. in its joint venture with Vivo, the largest telecommunications company in Brazil, for the provision of mobile financial solutions to Vivo’s customers and the inclusion of unbanked segments in Brazil.
  • Counsel to the Related Group, a leading U.S. real estate development firm, in connection with its entry into the Brazilian market and development of multiple real estate projects, including Parque Global, a mixed-use development in São Paulo that will include five 47-story high-rise towers totaling more than 650 units.
  • Represented Paysafe (NYSE:PSFE) in its $441 million acquisition of SafetyPay, a leading payments platform operating primarily in Latin America, including Brazil.
  • Counsel to one of the largest energy companies in Brazil on multiple corporate and litigation matters under New York law.
  • Global counsel to one of the largest financial institutions in the United States, including on M&A and regulatory matters in Brazil and the rest of Latin America.
  • Counsel to multiple leading Brazilian foreign private issuers on U.S. securities laws and corporate governance matters.
  • Counsel to one of the world’s largest quick-service restaurant franchisors in connection with the insolvency of a Brazilian franchisee.
