GT shareholders G. Michelle Ferreira and Barbara T. Kaplan are set to speak at the 2023 IRS Representation Conference.
On Nov. 30, Kaplan will speak on a panel titled “Knock-Knock: What To Do When Special Agents Are At Your Door”, covering what to do when targeted by IRS special agents from both a client and tax preparer perspective.
On Dec. 1, both Ferreira and Kaplan are set to participate in panels. Ferreira will speak on “Hidden Assets and Fraudulent Transfers: What Accountants Need To Watch For!”, discussing the potential consequences and fallout associated with hidden assets. Kaplan will sit on a panel discussing “Enforcement Trends: What’s Hot and What’s Not”, covering the changing tax enforcement landscape, as well as how examinations, criminal investigations, and collections affect that landscape.
