Gavin Loughlin represents private equity firms, non-traded REITs, hedge funds, pension funds and real estate developers on matters throughout the United States. He advises clients on a broad range of real estate and financing transactions that span asset classes. He has significant experience in complex transactions, including distressed situations involving debt restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, and other enforcement actions.

  • Represented Chinese investors in connection with the acquisition and development of two large mixed-use projects in Miami, Florida.
  • Represented Dividend Capital Total Realty Trust in its acquisition of a 32-property portfolio from iStar Financial, Inc. in a transaction valued at approximately $1.3 billion.
  • Represented Industrial Income Trust since its inception in the acquisition of industrial buildings throughout the United States valued in excess of $1 billion.
  • Represented Industrial Property Trust since its inception in the acquisition of industrial buildings throughout the United States.
  • Represented Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors in connection with the acquisition, financing and development of student housing and senior housing properties throughout the United States.
  • Represented a private equity company in connection with the disposition of a 50-plus portfolio of largely ground leased properties.
  • Represented a private equity company in connection with the acquisition and development of projects in South Florida.
  • Represented the U.S. real estate arm of a Hong-Kong listed multinational corporation in acquisition, development and financing of "Brickell CityCentre," a large-scale mixed-use retail, hotel, office and condominium project located in Downtown Miami.
  • Represented trustees, bondholders and their real estate advisors in connection with wide-ranging matters, including acquisitions, sales and the restructuring of community development district bonds.
  • Represented a real estate developer in connection with a $120 million construction loan from an affiliate of Blackstone.
  • Represented institutional investors in connection with credit tenant loan financings for properties in Florida, Georgia, New York, North Carolina and Washington D.C..
  • Represented a publicly traded company in connection mezzanine loan financings.
  • Represented developers in connection with land assemblages and hotel, condominium, retail and industrial warehouse projects.
  • Represented landlords in industrial leasing throughout the East Coast of the United States.
  • Represented landlords in office leases throughout South Florida.
