Nick Davies has deep practical knowledge of strategic investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, and commercial partnerships throughout South East Asia and the Asia-Pacific region (APAC), which he tailors to each of his clients’ matters. His clients include investment funds, family offices, multinational companies, financial institutions and company founders.

Nick advises clients in their deals across the spectrum of private capital in APAC: from venture capital to private equity. Nick also counsels clients in on a wide range of strategic transactions in the digital infrastructure, manufacturing, health care and hospitality sectors. Clients have access to Nick's deep M&A experience, familiarity with doing business in South East Asian countries, and his hands-on, goal-driven methodology to documenting and implementing clients’ strategic priorities to global standards.

Nick has a sector emphasis on emerging technologies and digitisation transactions, which includes market leading experience in advising on investments and commercial deals involving fintech, data-centric businesses, and consumer-related industries. This frequently puts him at the cutting edge of transactions in the region. His career highlights include advising on the largest M&A deals at the time in the Philippines and also in Bangladesh, acting for investors on one of the first Fintech liquidity events in South East Asia, and advising cornerstone investors on the listings of a Singapore headquartered ride-hailing business on Nasdaq and a Proptech business on NYSE.

Based in Singapore for nearly a decade - at the cross-roads for inbound and outbound investments and deal-making in the APAC region, Nick takes pride in helping his clients to execute their deals and strategies in a commercially focused and risk-adjusted way. His preferred style is to promote collaborative conditions for deals, investments and ventures, and to give clients from outside of the region the confidence to traverse and present themselves in relation to the region’s diverse business cultures. He also remains ready to stand firm and has a track record of helping clients to take control of difficult situations.

Nick has 15 years of experience with premier U.S. firms in Singapore and London and depth of experience gained counselling sovereign wealth funds, private equity funds, and multilateral banks on transactions across Western and Eastern Europe in the early part of his career. Nick’s broad experience gives him the experience to help guide clients through their deal making in emerging markets and other fast growing markets across APAC.
