WEST PALM BEACH – Dec. 20, 2024 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Real Estate Shareholder Marcia H. Langley was recognized with the Corporate Leadership Award at Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services’ (JFS) “An Evening of Enchantment: A Night at the Bridgerton Ball,” which took place Dec. 12 at the Boca West Country Club.
Since 1979, Rales JFS has provided a wide range of programs and services that support people of all ages and beliefs, according to the organization’s website. Proceeds from the Bridgerton Ball support the organization's services, including food and financial assistance, behavioral health services, family and children’s services, and more. Greenberg Traurig also was a sponsor of the event.
The Corporate Leadership Award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to Rales JFS.
Langley has been involved with Rales JFS for nearly 20 years. Inspired by her parents, who founded the Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center for people ages 60 and older, Langley has served as a board member of Rales JFS since 2013, and most recently, on the executive committee. She served as vice chair of the board alongside Fort Lauderdale Litigation Shareholder Stephen A. Mendelsohn, who served as chair.
“At Greenberg Traurig, we believe that leadership extends beyond the boardroom. It also is about driving change in our communities and supporting causes that uplift people in need. This award also recognizes the entire team at Greenberg Traurig, including my partner Stephen Mendelsohn, the former board chair; Chuck Abrams, who worked on various real estate matters; and Bruce Rosetto, who has assisted with a variety of corporate matters for the organization,” Langley said. “We are inspired to continue championing initiatives that empower individuals, strengthen families, and contribute to the well-being of our community.”
Langley assists Rales JFS primarily with real estate acquisitions, development, sales, and financing. She also has assisted with the organization’s Jacobson Family Food Pantry and Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy & Family Resource Center, which offers support services to children with developmental disabilities and their families. Langley has served on many of the organization’s signature-event host committees and as a co-chair of the Reflections of Hope Luncheon, which was created to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
Based in Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm Beach office, Langley handles a broad range of real estate matters. She focuses on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of large residential, office, industrial, and retail properties, as well as commercial leasing and assistance in the acquisition and development of retail franchise operations.
