Greenberg Traurig’s Government Contractor Cybersecurity group comprises experienced attorneys intimately familiar with the unique cybersecurity challenges facing the government contracting industry. Working closely with colleagues from our Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice, we regularly advise and assist  our clients in navigating their ever-evolving and nuanced cybersecurity needs.

Our attorneys have deep knowledge of the regulations affecting government contractors that possess, generate, transmit, or store covered defense information, controlled unclassified information, sensitive building information, export controlled information, personally identifiable information, and classified data. We counsel clients on the evolving requirements of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, the U.S. Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and the U.S. Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). We guide and assist clients with the assessment and implementation of measures to ensure compliance with applicable government contract cybersecurity requirements, and advise on data breach responses, providing appropriate notice to federal agencies and contracting partners, performing internal investigations in privileged relationships with leading industry forensic analysts, and developing and implementing necessary security enhancement measures.
