Monica W. Zhang focuses her practice on transactional entertainment matters across the music, film, television and new media landscape representing a variety of clients from internationally acclaimed and developing recording artists, songwriters, producers, and creators to independent producers, record and music publishing companies, digital media companies, investment funds and asset managers and financiers. Monica frequently represents and advises clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and financing transactions relating to music assets, including income streams, copyrights, name and likeness, trademarks, and related rights. Additionally, Monica regularly advises on content usage and music clearance issues, development and production for film, television and new media projects, and providing practical and solution-oriented guidance for her clients.

- Negotiated all contracts pertaining to a three-day, multi-venue conference and music festival.°
- Represented Concord Music Group as part of core deal team in the acquisition of a majority stake in Pulse Music Group and the acquisition of Downtown Music’s catalog of 145,000 copyrights.°
- Represented Iconic Artists Group in the Irving Azoff-led company’s acquisitions and partnerships with The Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt and David Crosby.°
