Claudia Stremel is local partner in the German Tax Law Practice Group as well as in the German Private Funds Practice Group. She is an expert in national and international tax law and has been working in this field for more than 20 years. Since 2003, she is admitted as a specialist lawyer for tax law (Fachanwältin für Steuerrecht). Claudia advises domestic and international clients, especially from the real estate sector as well as investment funds and investors.
One key focus of her advisory services is offering tax advice on fund structuring and fund investments, particularly in private equity funds, credit funds, and real estate funds. Claudia Stremel has particular expertise in the taxation of real estate and real estate transactions, as well as in real estate transfer tax. She also has extensive experience in advising on structured investment financing, particularly in film and project financing and the related tax issues.
Claudia has been actively engaged in Corporate Responsibility and pro bono advice for several years.
Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Claudia worked at Linklaters for over 10 years and at Olswang for seven years.
