Daniel M. Richards focuses his practice on representing domestic and international banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in a variety of complex financing transactions, including asset-based and cash-flow secured and unsecured credit facilities, acquisition financings and other leveraged buyouts, and first and second lien credit facilities. He has represented clients on financings in a range of industries, including health care, manufacturing, agricultural, retail, governmental services, information technology, and transportation.

  • Represented a sports equipment company, as borrower, in connection with a second lien secured financing and equity investment, the proceeds of which were used in connection with the recapitalization of the company.
  • Represented an international gaming technology company, as borrower, in connection with a $125 million senior secured financing, the proceeds of which were used for acquisitions and the recapitalization of the company.
  • Represented lead arrangers, administrative agents and collateral agents in connection with syndicated senior secured credit facilities aggregating $735 million for the acquisition of a leading fresh fruit produce company and the recapitalization of the company.
  • Represented lead arranger, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with a $175 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a leading agricultural company and certain of its subsidiaries.
  • Represented the Mexico representative office of an international bank, as lead arranger, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with a $92 million multi-currency secured asset-based credit facility to a leading poultry company.
  • Represented the Mexico representative office of an international bank in connection with a secured multi-currency credit facility to a sugar processing and energy company, the proceeds of which were for the recapitalization of the company.
  • Represented lead arranger, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with a $105 million syndicated first-lien secured credit facility and asset-based revolving facility for the acquisition of a clothing retailer.°
  • Represented lead arranger, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with a $2.2 billion syndicated senior secured credit facility for the recapitalization of a media and entertainment company.°
  • Represented lead arranger, administrative agent and collateral agent in connection with an $80 million syndicated senior secured, multi-currency credit facility for the recapitalization of a multinational manufacturing company.°
  • Represented administrative agents, collateral agents and lenders in connection with a series of senior secured multi-currency credit facilities to a multinational Latin American financial institution for expansion of the company’s lending business.°
  • Represented foreign export credit agency as administrative agent, collateral agent and lender in connection with an $80 million senior secured credit facility for the acquisition of equipment to be used for the expansion of an international telecommunications network.°
  • Represented international financial technology startup in connection with a $140 million senior secured, multi-currency, asset-based revolving facility for expansion of the company’s credit card business.°
