Aurore Nicaud focuses her practice in the construction and energy sectors, in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. She represents owners and developers of large infrastructure and energy projects, both in transactional and dispute resolution capacities, by assisting her clients throughout the entire project spectrum, commencing at project conception, continuing through project management, and resolving construction-related disputes.
She regularly represents clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitration matters, particularly in construction disputes. She has represented clients in arbitral tribunals around the world, including before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR).
Aurore practices law with fluency in English, Spanish, and French. She is licensed to practice law in multiple U.S. jurisdictions, as well as in Colombia, and was admitted to practice law in France (currently inactive). She received her legal training in the United States and France, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Instituted of Arbitrators in London.

- Representation of a consortium partner in relation to project management, claim resolution and ICC arbitration involving over 600+ million dollars in claims relating to a power plant in Asia.
- Representation of the owner of a power plant in the Caribbean in relation to a construction dispute involving 100+ million dollars in ICC arbitration.
- Representation of the owner of a waterfront, ultra-luxury hotel project in a real estate and construction dispute against the local government in relation to a dispute involving over 250 million dollars in LCIA arbitration.
- Representation of owners and developers of large infrastructure and energy projects, including power plants, solar and wind farm projects. Assists with the negotiating and drafting of construction-related agreements, such as EPC and design-build contracts.
- Representation of a Government of Central America in an ICSID investment dispute related to the construction of a hydroelectric power plant and transmission line.
- Representation of a U.S.–based developer in connection with a construction dispute nearing US$ 1 billion.
Representation of the owner on a US $8 billion infrastructure project, including leading the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements for over US $1 billion worth of equipment, as well as the daily management of the main EPC agreement. For the same project, advised on the international arbitration against the main contractor of the project before the ICC. The dispute resulted in an award in favor of client nearing two billion dollars.° - Representation of the largest operators of mass-transit bus operations throughout Latin America in relation to a US $350 million ICSID arbitration for loss of foreign investment.°
