Chris Miltenberger focuses his practice on all types of litigation, with an emphasis on business and commercial disputes. Chris advises his clients with respect to commercial disputes both prior to the filing of a lawsuit and after the commencement of litigation. Chris has represented a broad range of clients ranging from individual employees and investors to Fortune 500 companies in both state and federal court. As part of his representation, he has managed teams and guided clients through all aspects of litigation, from developing pre-litigation strategies through appeals. Chris’s representations have included advising leaders in the gaming, hospitality and the construction industries in the prosecution and defense of complex, commercial claims.

Experience
- Obtained a judgment as a matter of law in favor of a title company client after the plaintiff’s close of evidence in a jury trial.
- Secured a defense summary judgment in favor of his national homebuilder client with respect to claims for fraud, tortious interference and other torts arising out of his client’s sale of approximately 90 acres of mixed use property located in a master-planned community. The summary judgment was upheld on appeal by the Nevada Supreme Court.
- Secured a $500,000 summary judgment in favor of a commercial real estate developer in a breach of contract case.
- Secured dismissal of a complaint in federal court against an international gaming equipment manufacturer relating to allegations of unfair competition and fraud.
- Obtained dismissal of a complaint in favor of a major casino operator in a defamation action asserted by one of its former employees.
- Prosecuted a case against a major casino resort that ultimately prevented the resort from ousting a major restaurant and nightclub.
- Represented a nightclub and restaurant operator and its owners with respect to a series of disputes with the company’s former investor, business partner, and licensor that resulted in favorable settlements in all disputes for the client.
- Represented a large nightclub operator with respect to its management of VIP and promotion services in a dispute with one of the club’s investors leading to a favorable settlement for the nightclub client.
- Advises several nightclub and restaurant operators with respect to commercial disputes with vendors and in negotiating talent and appearance agreements.
- Oversaw company-wide litigation strategy and management on behalf of an international gaming equipment manufacturer.
- Obtained a $1.8 million judgment against his client’s former employer in a breach of employment agreement case.
- Secured a complete dismissal of a lawsuit alleging negligent hiring and supervision on behalf of a local non-profit organization.
- Represented a nightclub operator in defense of a wrongful termination and discrimination case asserted by a former employee that resulted in a favorable settlement for the client.
- Represented several publicly traded corporations in shareholder derivative actions and securities lawsuits in both state and federal court.
