Jonathan Meek focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions involving properties across the United States. His practice encompasses virtually all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions, dispositions, preferred equity investments, developments, joint ventures, and leasing. He has experience with a wide range of property classes, including office, industrial, data center, multifamily, hospitality, retail, and self-storage properties.

Experience

  • Represented TPG Real Estate in its acquisition of the Linq Promenade in Las Vegas for $275 million, as well as on its related joint venture and mortgage financing.°
  • Represented a U.S. private equity firm in its preferred equity investment in a portfolio of premier properties located across the United States, which included One Times Square, Ghirardelli Square, and Buckhead Village District, among others.°
  • Represented a U.S. private equity firm in the closing of a $500 million credit facility used to finance the firm’s acquisition of triple-net leased commercial real estate throughout the United States and Canada.°
  • Represented Yellow Corporation in real estate matters related to its Chapter 11 restructuring, including the sale process for its real estate assets.°
  • Represented TPG Real Estate on its joint venture with Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), the largest global provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center, colocation, and interconnection solutions, in which TPG acquired majority stake in three stabilized hyperscale data centers in Northern Virginia and the related financing thereof. The three hyperscale data centers were contributed to the joint venture at an aggregate value of $1.5 billion.°
  • Represented a U.S. private equity firm in its joint venture with a publicly owned real estate company focused on grocery-anchored and mixed-use assets. The transaction included an $80 million preferred equity investment into a newly formed subsidiary and a property-specific $15 million mezzanine loan.°
