Paul is a Local Partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice. His practice focuses on real estate transactions as well as litigation and ADR. He assists both public institutions and private companies. He is a member of the Dutch and New York Bar association.

In addition to his work in the real estate field, Paul has deep experience in the field of international art (restitution) law. He served as Chairman of the Society of Art, Culture and Law in The Netherlands for several years before joining GT.

Paul has advised and litigated in art law and restitution cases such as (i) the Crimean Gold case for the Allard Pierson Museum (University of Amsterdam) (After 9 Years in Limbo, Treasures From Crimea Return to Ukraine - The New York Times (nytimes.com)), the Malevich restitution (Malevich Heirs Settle - The New York Times (nytimes.com)) and the Kandinsky restitution (Kandinsky Painting Returned to Jewish Heirs by Amsterdam Museum - The New York Times (nytimes.com)) for the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the City of Amsterdam.
