Charlie Liu focuses his practice on corporate insolvency and restructuring. He advises institutional lenders and investors across the capital structure in distressed situations. His clients include indenture trustees, prepetition and DIP lenders, creditors’ committees, pension funds, REITs and other significant creditors involved in complex Chapter 11 cases.
Additionally, Charlie has experience prosecuting and defending against bankruptcy-related legal claims, including fraudulent transfer, preference and fiduciary claims. His experience spans the telecommunications, energy, infrastructure, retail and hospitality sectors. Charlie also works with private equity sponsors with distressed portfolio companies and purchasers of distressed assets.
