David Hirschman is of counsel in the London office and focuses his practice on corporate and securities matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters for major clients, both in the transactional context and in relation to day-to-day business activities. He is experienced in handling complex cross-border and domestic transactions, investments and reorganizations, advising a range of domestic and international clients from various industries. Having worked in the music industry for a number of years prior to becoming a lawyer, and having spent periods of time working in-house at ITV plc and AstraZeneca plc, he also has substantial business-level experience.

- Represented Black Dragon Capital in connection with its acquisition of Grass Valley, a leading technology supplier of advanced broadcast and media solutions, with operations in over 20 different jurisdictions worldwide.
- Advised AstraZeneca AB on its agreement with Grünenthal to divest the European rights to Nexium for an upfront payment of $700 million with further sales-related and milestone payments of up to $90 million.
- Advised AstraZeneca AB on its agreement with Grünenthal to divest the global rights to Vimovo in all markets excluding the US and Japan for an upfront payment of $115 million and further payments up to another $17 million.
- Advised Abris Capital Partners in relation to shareholder arrangements relating to its acquisition of Velvet CARE sp. z o.o., one of the largest manufacturers of hygiene products in Poland.
- Advised AstraZeneca plc on the sale of its small molecule antibiotics business to Pfizer for US $1.2 billion.
- Advised Nomad Foods on its €2.6 billion acquisition of Iglo Foods.
- Advised Nomad Foods on its €500 million acquisition of Findus Group's Continental European Business.
