Profile
Darci Ferrer’s regulatory and scientific experience covers an array of industrial, institutional, and consumer products, including pesticides, cleaning products, and fragrance materials. Darci provides consulting support to clients particularly on the Federal Insecticide Fungicide Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and state chemical management and ingredient communication regulations.
In particular, Darci manages U.S. pesticide registrations and assists clients in identifying a clear path to registration and supports the development of registration applications. She works with coalitions and task forces to develop data strategies for active ingredients undergoing registration review. Darci also provides regulatory analysis to trade associations on new and proposed regulations impacting industry.
Previously, Darci held positions in prominent trade associations. As Chief Scientist for the fragrance industry association, she was responsible for regulatory analysis and advocacy across the United States and Canada by providing hands-on support and aid to association members. She routinely formulated responses to regulatory proposals and engaged directly with regulators, discussing potential opportunities and concerns. Notably, Darci was involved in the industry's efforts to support the EPA's risk evaluation of one of the first 20 existing substances selected for review under the amended TSCA. She also advised the membership on reportable ingredients under the Cosmetic Fragrance and Flavor Ingredient Right to Know Act of 2020 (SB 312) in California and provided preliminary guidance to the membership on the newly passed Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA).
