  • Drafted and argued motions in limine, prepared and interviewed witnesses, and second chaired a six-day bench trial in Luzerne County representing the subsidiary of a major global insurance company against claims of bad faith. 
  • Drafted pleadings and motions, analyzed evidence, and conducted depositions for the team representing the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and various state legislators in the 2020 mail-in ballot litigation – matters that played a major role in determining the outcome of the U.S. presidential election. Helped clients obtain results before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
  • Obtained a preliminary injunction/freeze of operations on behalf of oppressed minority shareholders in renewable energy company.
  • Developed the strategy to have permissive appeals accepted and heard by the Pennsylvania Supreme and Superior Courts on behalf of directors and officers of a tech start-up accused of securities fraud. Argued the issue before the Superior Court in a matter of first impression that addressed the elements required for securities fraud under the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972. 
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of global financial institution in case involving claims of violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Defeated motion for preliminary injunction seeking to eject a Harrisburg community grocery store, arguing that the landlord had deprived its operators of right of first refusal.
  • Advised a major international retailer on evolving and at times disparate municipal, county, state, and federal health preparedness emergency orders and guidance that would impact the client’s facilities, employees, and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
