Brenden Dunleavy focuses his practice on corporate, regulatory, and transactional matters, advising private and public companies, private equity firms, financial institutions, and other stakeholders across the globe. His experience spans a wide range of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and corporate governance, with a strong particular focus on the highly regulated gaming sector.

- Represented a prominent casino and resort operator as transactional and regulatory counsel to a $250 million sale-leaseback and construction loan with a gaming-focused real estate investment trust for the development of a casino in Northern Illinois. °
- Represented a prominent casino and resort operator throughout the regulatory process culminating in the opening of a casino and resort in Southern Illinois. °
- Represented a prominent casino operator in the awarding of its approval for a temporary casino license – the first casino approval since the signing of the Illinois Gaming Expansion Bill by Governor Pritzker in 2019. °
- Represented a prominent casino operator in the awarding of its approval for Illinois’ first-ever casino license extension. °
- Represented Illinois’ oldest racetrack in the awarding of its preliminary approval to build and become Illinois’ first-ever racino, pending final approval by the Illinois Gaming Board. °
