  • Acted as lead litigation attorney for all Developers of Fisher Island for 35+ years.
  • Represented developer at trial challenging development agreement for the Miami Worldcenter project. Prevailed at trial with appeal dismissed following settlement. [2016]
  • Represented developer of Flagstone Island Gardens project in civil action challenging voter approved lease agreement of city-owned land to developer for super-yacht marina on Watson Island, Miami. Obtained dismissal with prejudice without trial and prevailed on appeal. [2016]
  • Represented Bayside Marketplace, LLC for General Growth Properties, in several separate challenges to City of Miami referendum on long term lease extension.Obtained final judgment in favor of Bayside Marketplace, LLC. in each case. [2015]
  • Represented developer in lawsuit with municipality seeking to avoid obligations under land swap agreement. Resolved through settlement that granted developer increase in development rights for related condominium project. [2014]
  • Represented developer in lawsuit challenging zoning approvals and constitutionality of notice requirements under City of Miami's Zoning Code in connection with construction of municipal transportation facility. Obtained final summary judgment in favor of developer. [2014]
  • Represented landlord of cold storage warehouse in claim against former tenant for surrender of property in state of disrepair. Settled favorably. [2012]
  • Represented building owners in claim against insurance company for damages resulting from Hurricane Wilma. Obtained jury verdict in excess of $1.5 million plus fee award. [2010]
  • Led jury trial team that obtained $25 million embezzlement verdict on behalf of an Aegon subsidiary, a Dutch insurance company against its American managing general agency and that agency's officers.
  • Led trial team that obtained $30 million settlement for the Estate of Eastern Air Lines from various insurance companies based on damage to the environment at several major U.S. airports.
  • Represented homeowner in lawsuit against roofing contractor. Obtained judgment in favor of homeowner.
  • Represented private elementary school in lawsuit against neighboring property owner for damage resulting from neighbor’s excavation and sheet piling. Resolved through settlement for more than double the amount the client initially sought to recover.
