Christine Chen focuses her practice on representing private credit providers, including business development companies, private debt funds, specialty finance companies, and sovereign wealth funds, in a wide range of leveraged loan transactions across the capital structure spectrum. She has experience with private credit transactions, including first-in/last-out financings, unitranche financings, secured and unsecured mezzanine financings, second lien loans, asset-based financings, and other deal structures regarding acquisition financings, refinancings, leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, restructurings, forbearances, cross-border financings, and debtor-in-possession financings.

  • Represented a private credit institution in establishing a $1.08 billion senior secured credit facility in connection with its $2.2 billion buyout of a leading full-service consultant and insurance brokerage firm.°
  • Represented administrative agent and lenders in establishing a $290 million senior secured credit facility in support of sponsor’s acquisition financing of an insurance firm.°
  • Represented administrative agent and lenders in establishing a $378 million senior secured credit facility and $25.0 million revolving facility in support of sponsor’s acquisition financing of a leading global manufacturer of branded and private label anesthesia and respiratory medical products.°
  • Represented administrative agent and lenders in establishing a $215 million unitranche facility in connection with the recapitalization of a software company that provides cloud-based solutions for tax and accounting firms.°
  • Represented administrative agent and lenders in a $370 million senior secured term loan facility in support of sponsor’s acquisition financing of a leading manufacturer in beauty and personal care products.°
  • Represented lender in establishing a $245 million secured superiority debtor-in-possession financing in connection with bankruptcy filing for a home security systems company.°
