Chris Broughton represents owners, developers, and contractors in transactional matters and disputes involving construction and development of major projects. He handles mediation, arbitration, and litigation for construction disputes across industries and project types, including hotel projects, industrial facilities, multifamily developments, mixed-use projects, and other traditional commercial developments. His cases often involve contractor terminations, delay claims, and significant construction defects.
Chris drafts and negotiates construction and design agreements for clients across a wide array of industries, including energy, technology, manufacturing, real estate, and consumer goods sectors for projects in the United States and international markets. He has drafted and negotiated agreements across all forms of project delivery and has experience with bespoke project documents and all types of industry forms. He also advises clients on inter-project issues and claims avoidance practices.
