Litigators of the Week: A Defense Verdict for Lockheed in Case Linking Birth Defects to Chemical Exposure

David B. Weinstein, Christopher Torres, Ryan Hopper, and Irina Khasin are featured in an Am Law Litigation Daily article titled “Litigators of the Week: A Defense Verdict for Lockheed in Case Linking Birth Defects to Chemical Exposure.”

After a five-week federal trial in Orlando, the team delivered a decisive victory for Lockheed Martin, proving that the company’s operations caused no harm to the children of three families who claimed otherwise. Despite Plaintiffs’ counsel asking the jury to award $790 million in damages, the nine-person jury deliberated for just over two hours before returning a complete defense verdict of $0 – a resounding affirmation of Lockheed Martin's commitment to the safety of its operations, employees, and the surrounding community.
