CHICAGO – April 21, 2025 – Rita M. Powers and Gretchen N. Miller, shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Chicago office, were named 2025 Notable Litigator and Trial Attorneys by Crain’s Chicago Business.
According to Crain’s, the 2025 Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys list recognizes senior legal leaders with more than a decade of experience and who have played key roles in significant litigation and trial proceedings.
Powers is co-managing shareholder of the Chicago office and co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Litigation Practice. She is a distinguished litigator with more than three decades of experience handling complex real estate disputes. Powers’ practice includes commercial landlord-tenant issues, mortgage foreclosures, and post-closing conflicts involving shopping centers, hotels, and office buildings. She also advises clients on pre-dispute strategies and represents them in high-stakes trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Miller is co-chair of both the Chicago Litigation Practice and the Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice. She defends manufacturers nationwide in product liability, toxic tort, and class action cases. As a seasoned trial lawyer, she has served as both first- and second-chair trial counsel in high-stakes litigation. As national counsel, Miller oversees litigation strategy for major corporations and advises on risk management, regulatory compliance, and product safety matters. She has wide-ranging experience navigating federal and state regulations.
