LOS ANGELES – Feb. 19, 2025 – Ruben Sisylan, shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s State & Local Tax (SALT) Practice, will speak about property tax issues related to the recent Los Angeles wildfire disaster.
The California Association of Black Lawyers is presenting “Know Your Rights: A Panel to Aid Those Affected by the LA Fires With Legal and Insurance Guidance” as a webinar on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. PT. Sisylan will provide general information and guidance on property tax implications and relief measures for victims of the wildfires.
Sislyan, based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, recently co-authored a client alert on this topic, “Property Tax Relief for Southern California Property Owners Affected by the Recent Palisades, Eaton, and Other Fires and Windstorm Conditions.” He focuses his legal practice on California state and local tax controversies at the audit, administrative, and judicial levels. Sisylan helps clients navigate through all stages of California’s complex administrative tax controversy process.
