Greenberg Traurig Adds Veteran Public Finance Attorney Lance C. Tyson in Chicago

CHICAGO – April 24, 2024 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added Lance C. Tyson as of counsel in the firm’s Public Finance & Infrastructure Practice in Chicago.

With more than two decades of experience representing local governments, government authorities, and financial institutions, Tyson provides practical, strategic advice to clients on governmental and business matters. He works across several practice areas with emphasis in the areas of public finance, real estate, banking, tax credits, public investment funds, and government affairs, helping clients develop strategies and achieve their business goals.

Tyson’s public service tenure includes serving as chief of staff to the Cook County Board president, legislative counsel to the mayor of the City of Chicago, the Democratic Party’s slated candidate for the 10th Legislative District of the State of Illinois, and member of the Cook County Sheriff’s Merit Board.

Tyson joins his wife, Chicago Shareholder Lorraine M. Tyson, who also is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Public Finance & Infrastructure Practice. The firm has more than 180 attorneys in the Chicago office.
