Greenberg Traurig’s Ruben Sislyan and James T. Smith to Present on CalCPA Webinar

SAN FRANCISCO – Dec. 6, 2023 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Tax Practice Shareholder Ruben Sislyan and Associate James T. Smith will present a CalCPA webinar Dec. 6 from 10-11 a.m.

Sislyan and Smith will speak on a webinar titled “Non Pro Rata Trust and Will Distributions of Property Overview,” discussing property tax law in the state of California. They will also discuss the practical considerations of trust and will distributions of property before Proposition 19, as well as the impact of Proposition 19 on property distributions, among other topics.

Sislyan focuses his practice on California state and local tax controversies at the audit, administrative, and judicial levels. He has broad experience representing Fortune 500 and middle-market companies, closely held businesses, startups, families, and individuals in a wide range of state and local taxes, including corporate franchise/income, personal income, sales and use, property, and gross receipts and other local taxes.

Smith is a member of the Tax Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s , focusing on state and federal tax controversies and litigation. He also assists clients with compliance counseling for federal and state tax matters.
