DENVER – April 19, 2023 – Nikki E. Dobay, shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Tax Practice, will speak at the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) Portland 2023 Spring Tax Conference April 21 in Portland, Oregon. The conference will feature presentations on tax policy, federal tax updates, global indirect taxes, the digital economy, international transfer pricing, state and local tax (SALT), and tax technology and the future of tax departments outsourcing and insourcing.
Dobay will present a “State & Local Tax Update.” During her presentation, she will discuss national as well as Pacific Northwest State and Local Tax legislative and policy trends and provide an update on important recent state tax cases.
Dobay, based in the firm’s Portland and Sacramento offices, has deep experience with an understanding of state tax policy and the legislative process. She also advises her clients on sophisticated multistate tax issues as well as the consequences and planning opportunities related to corporate mergers and acquisitions transactions and oversees SALT controversy matters, ranging from audits to appellate litigation. Dobay regularly writes and speaks on issues related to SALT and other areas of tax law.
