MIAMI – Sept. 24, 2020 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has been named a finalist for the 2020 ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award presented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. The virtual awards program will be held on September 25th.
The ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award is presented to organizations with a culture that encourages women employees to achieve their full leadership potential and that also give back to the larger community of women and girls by providing leadership development opportunities and initiatives, according to the Chamber.
ATHENA Awards have been presented in over 500 communities in eight countries since the inception of the award program in 1982, according to Athena International. ATHENA Award nominees are established leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their industry.
Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm Beach office was named a finalist based on a submission that highlighted the firm’s commitment to encourage women employees to achieve their full leadership potential.
The Greenberg Traurig Women Initiative (GTWI) supports women firmwide with programs and initiatives relevant to the local market.
The GTWI seeks to strengthen GT by building a cohesive community of women lawyers. Key initiatives include the Good2Great program, which provides the tools needed to successfully develop new business, and the annual Women’s Business Forum, a dynamic education summit and networking event with women clients and contacts.
