LOS ANGELES – Oct. 21, 2019 – Karin Bohmholdt, co-chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Los Angeles Litigation Practice, has been recognized as one of Los Angeles’ “Women of Influence” by L.A. Biz and Bizwomen.
Bohmholdt was one of 28 Los Angeles women honored with the prestigious award, which recognizes business leaders from a variety of sectors based on professional qualifications, impact, and community involvement, according to the publications.
Winners will be recognized at a November awards ceremony by Bizwomen and L.A. Biz, digital publications of the American City Business Journals. Winners were selected by a panel of judges from American City Business Journals.
Bohmholdt is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office, with a primary focus on appellate practice at both the state and federal levels, as well as financial services and trusts and estates litigation. Following a clerkship with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, she obtained experience in a wide variety of litigation and appellate areas, including real estate disputes, class actions, employment matters, securities law, ADA matters, intellectual property matters, public entity representation, and Federal False Claims actions. Bohmholdt's appellate experience also includes obtaining and defending orders compelling arbitration; agency appeals; wide-ranging motion practice in the state and federal appellate courts; and writ and permissive appeal practice in state and federal court.
Deeply involved in the Los Angeles community, Bohmholdt serves as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she has taught Appellate Advocacy and currently teaches Advanced Legal Drafting. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers, the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers of Los Angeles.
