MIAMI (October 14, 2014) – International law firm Greenberg Traurig is a sponsor of the American Conference Institute’s Inaugural Miami Anti-Corruption Boot Camp. The event will take place Oct. 15-16, 2014 at the Eden Roc – South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.
The American Conference Institute hosts events in major cities around the world featuring the expertise of lawyers and other experts in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Corruption practices.
Greenberg Traurig Miami Shareholder Jacqueline Becerra, Co-Chair of the event, will speak as a featured panelist during the Anti-Corruption Compliance Syllabus session. The discussion session will focus on the “Hallmarks of a Robust Anti-Corruption Compliance Program.”
Becerra and others will provide information on gaining support from senior management on the establishment of a clearly articulated policy against corruption; implementing code of conduct and compliance policies; providing effective risk assessment and training; and managing an internal investigation.

Marinelli in the Austin and Washington, D.C. offices and member of the FCPA and Global Anti-Corruption Practice, will participate in the session titled “Conducting an Effective Anti-Corruption Risk Assessment: How to Determine Your Risk Profile and Design the Right Internal Controls.”
Marinelli’s session will discuss a variety of topics including the importance of risk assessments in designing and implementing compliance programs, the methodologies to use when conducting risk assessments and the best ways to report and act on findings from such assessments
