As the first session of the 118th Congress wraps up, legislators have a long list of policy issues that will need to be addressed in 2024, including funding the government for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, enacting the annual National Defense Authorization Act, developing a tax package, as well as improving America’s ability to compete with China. Congressional leaders will have a narrow window to make real progress on these measures as the presidential election gains steam and culminates on November 5.
