COST 2023 State and Local Tax Workshop for Technology Companies

GT Shareholders Nikki E. Dobay, Bradley R. Marsh, and Shail P. Shah are set to speak at the 2023 Council on State Taxation (COST) State and Local Tax Workshop for Technology Companies. The conference will cover important state and local tax issues that start-up and established technology companies may face. Issues that will be covered include FITFA, streaming, marketplace facilitators, Digital Business Inputs, and more. Dobay will be speaking on a panel titled “Video Streaming, Lodging, and Other Local Tax Issues,” which will focus on issues with local transactional taxes as they relate to tax video streaming services. Marsh will participate in a panel titled “Mitigating Tech Industry Property Taxes and Tax Incentive Issues,” which focuses on valuation issues faced by technology companies, and Shah will present on “California’s Office of Tax Appeals – Update,” discussing the office’s administrative and litigation processes.
