Bina B. Palnitkar is a business and trial lawyer whose national and international practice focuses on resolving complex business and intellectual property issues through counseling, litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Prior to her career as a lawyer, she was one of the few women in the pits of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.

Bina is a member of the firm’s Anti-Counterfeiting group, rectifying brand protection issues for corporations by utilizing judiciary approaches including injunctions and seizures with domestic and international law enforcement groups.

Bina’s practical experience and approach to legal counseling covers a number of disciplines and industries, including private equity and real estate funds, financial institutions, consumer goods, health care, startup firms and technology.

Bina serves as national settlement counsel for two of the world’s largest medical device companies, working with large teams of litigators both inside and outside the firm to manage nationwide settlements. She has devised novel settlement strategies to achieve the business objectives of leading global companies.

Bina also is a civic leader. She serves as the Chair for Greenberg Traurig’s Asian American Affinity Group. From her advisory efforts on multiple national and state election campaigns, to her leadership as a former president of the Dallas Chapter of the North American South Asian Bar Association, to her involvement in the Junior League and Methodist Moody Brain and Spine Institute, and her membership on the Cattle Baron’s Ball Committee, Bina is relied upon when people and groups need to get things done.
