Adam M. Korn is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office whose practice focuses on white collar, data privacy, security, Internet-related, commercial contract, business disputes and class action defense. He represents clients ranging from individuals to startups to Fortune 500 companies in all facets of criminal and civil litigation. Adam has experience litigating at both the federal and state levels and handles a range of matters from the pleading stage through trial.

Experience

  • Obtained order dismissing privacy claims with prejudice in class-action lawsuit against software provider for lack of Article III standing.
  • Obtained voluntary dismissals of federal class-action lawsuits alleging claims under the California Invasion of Privacy Act.
  • Represented major financial institution in federal lawsuit alleging claims under the Electronic Fund Transfers Act and Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act among other statutes; obtained settlement.
  • Defended major entertainment company from privacy claims based on third-party software’s alleged access to communications on consumer mobile devices; obtained settlement.
  • Defended online platform in federal lawsuit alleging claims under several consumer protection statutes and data privacy laws; obtained settlement.
  • Represented real estate limited partnership which purchased a foreclosed development in multimillion-dollar lawsuit against national bank arising out of an indemnity provision; trial counsel for limited partnership in two-week federal bench trial, which resulted in securing a multimillion-dollar judgment and attorneys’ fee award for the client.°
  • Trial counsel in trade secret and Lanham Act litigation involving millions at stake.°
  • Represented auto parts manufacturer in a Trade Dress action against infringing competitor; obtained settlement and stipulated agreement for competitor to withdraw offending products from the marketplace.°
  • Represented celebrity chef in trademark infringement lawsuit against a competitor in a trademark action; obtained settlement.°
  • Represented individual investigated by Department of Justice for alleged fraud; Department of Justice ultimately decided not to indict the client.°
  • Represented national mortgage lender in employment discrimination lawsuit seeking $500,000 in compensatory damages; obtained settlement.°
