Profile
Kyle focuses his practice on a range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court, with an emphasis on the commodities and derivatives industries as well as blockchain, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, employment litigation, and consumer class action defense. Kyle also counsels proprietary trading firms, investment advisors, venture investors, and banks regarding regulatory and compliance matters.
In addition to his courtroom advocacy, Kyle helps clients anticipate and prevent problems from becoming major disputes. Kyle is dedicated to understanding his clients’ businesses in order to provide practical, cost-efficient strategies for identifying and pursuing their goals.
In addition, Kyle volunteers his time representing pro se litigants through the Northern District of Illinois and pro bono clients in all areas of the arts through Lawyers for the Creative Arts.

Experience
- Represented corporation in high-stakes antitrust litigation through trial, in Northern District of California, resulting in a jury decision of no liability.
- Represented several clients in responding to requests from SEC, CFTC, CME, and NFA.
- Represented minority shareholders in partnership dispute against the manager of an Illinois LLC through trial regarding breach of fiduciary duty claims.
- Represented Introducing Broker in National Futures Association matter against claims of failure to maintain complete records and failure to supervise, resulting in settlement.
- Represented pro bono client through trial regarding discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII resulting in a jury award of $1.75 Million.
- Represented the City of Chicago through trial regarding Section 1983 claims resulting in a jury decision of no liability.
- Represented insurance valuation company in class-action claims in breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Defeated motion for class certification, and obtained dismissal of all claims.
- Represented a manufacturer of medical devices in a products liability suit alleging negligent design, manufacture, and sale of a surgical warming device.
- Represented company in large contract dispute regarding the sale of over 300 mortgage securities, and was granted motion for summary judgment.
