ATLANTA – Feb. 26, 2025 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated several attorneys in its Atlanta office: C. Logan Anderson, Toni N. Brown, Cole F. Heyer, Miriam C. Thompson, Bardia Sergent and Andrew Z. Smith were elevated to shareholder and Whitney Bly Edwards, Alexandra A. Holt and Matthew A. Petrie were elevated to of counsel.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 92 attorneys to shareholder, of counsel, and local partner. The 59 new shareholders span 26 offices and 13 primary practice areas. The 33 lawyers elevated to of counsel and local partner serve clients from 18 offices, practicing in 13 primary areas of law.

Blum, Atlanta office managing shareholder, and Richard J. Valladares, chair of the Atlanta Business Litigation Practice, said in a joint statement. “These elevations, along with strategic hires we made in the past few months, put us in a great position for advancement in 2025.”

  • Anderson is a member of the Corporate Practice and the Global Energy Project Finance & Development Practice and advises clients on a wide variety of complex commercial arrangements, with a focus on the renewable energy, retail, financial services, and transportation sectors.
  • Brown is a member of the Corporate Practice focusing on supply chain, corporate restructuring, manufacturing and distribution, procurement, commercial contracts, and Securities and Exchange Commission compliance.
  • Heyer is a member of the Immigration & Compliance Practice focusing his practice on representing domestic and multinational employers before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of State, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement on virtually all issues that employers may face in the employment context with immigration.
  • Thompson is a member of the Immigration & Compliance Practice focusing on providing legal and policy guidance to large multinational companies, as well as individual clients, startup companies, and small and mid-size domestic corporations, with a focus on delivering effective strategies in the realm of worksite immigration compliance and U.S. immigration programs.
  • Sergent is a member of the Litigation, Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice focusing on defending high-profile and high-exposure product liability matters involving claims of wrongful death and catastrophic permanent injuries. He advises manufacturers and distributors of consumer products, pharmaceutical products, and medical devices.
  • Smith is a member of the Litigation Practice advising a wide array of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurs, on complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Smith is particularly focused on helping clients navigate business disputes and manage risks, offering tailored strategies for litigation avoidance and conflict resolution.
  • Edwards is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice focusing on a broad range of labor and employment law matters, including advising and counseling employers on multijurisdictional employment issues pertaining to leaves of absence, terminations, reductions in force, and disciplinary actions.
