NEW YORK — Dec. 5, 2023 — Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has signed on to the Diversity Lab’s Disability Inclusion Commitments, developed with the goal of cultivating a more inclusive workplace for people with disabilities in the legal profession.
The Diversity Lab, facilitator of the Mansfield Rule Certification program, said it worked with its Disability Inclusion Advisory Group to outline the 10 actionable steps. Participating firms will implement or expand at least one of those Commitments as part of their 2024 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and related initiatives. According to the Diversity Lab, 21% of the U.S. workforce identifies as having a disability.
“Greenberg Traurig has a holistic approach to DEI and takes great pride in continuously growing what we do within the firm and in collaboration with like-minded organizations and clients. We are already acting on many of the Commitments as part of our inclusive culture -- effectively from our founding -- and we are excited to do more, sharing and learning as part of this first cohort of committed firms,” Greenberg Traurig Senior Vice President, Shareholder, and Chief DEI Officer Nikki Lewis Simon said.
