Greenberg Traurig’s Pallav Raghuvanshi and Shira Peleg to Present Lorman CLE Webinar on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Taxation Principles

NEW YORK – Jan. 24, 2023 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Tax Practice Shareholder Pallav Raghuvanshi and Associate Shira Peleg will speak on a Lorman Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Webinar on current and potential future cryptocurrency reporting requirements, Feb. 7.

The webinar, titled “Principles of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Taxation,” will touch on the latest issues involving decentralized finance, staking, etc., and will include an overview of current and potential future cryptocurrency reporting requirements.

Raghuvanshi counsels clients across a broad range of industries, including blockchain, banking and financial services, gaming, technology, retail, media, and entertainment, among other areas. Raghuvanshi focuses his practice on U.S. and international tax matters in the context of corporate expansion, restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies. He has broad experience with advising various complex cross-border transactions involving issues related to foreign tax credits, tax treaties, holding companies, controlled foreign corporations, and other restructuring issues. He also advises non-U.S. clients with their U.S. inbound tax planning, including foreign investment in U.S. real property, expansion of U.S. business operations, and investment in U.S. securities. 

Peleg represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities in examinations, appeals, court, and collections. She also counsels tax-exempt organizations on obtaining and maintaining their tax-exempt status, corporate governance issues, joint ventures, and unrelated trade or business income issues.
