MIAMI – May 9, 2019 — Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was appointed to the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust (AACT) board of directors. He will serve as AACT community representative director for a three-year term.
The Trust board of directors of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami‐Dade County has a broad portfolio of responsibilities, including fiduciary, governance, planning, policy setting, leadership development, and advancement activities.
“I am looking forward to working with other AACT board members as we continue to expand the support for art and culture throughout our South Florida community,” Davis said. “The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is an important asset to our community, which reflects South Florida’s diversity and has served as a launch pad for local artists who have made their mark on the international stage.”
As co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, Davis oversees approximately 170 attorneys and 200 business staff. For more than a decade, he has overseen the office and served as one of several attorneys leading the firm’s efforts to be a dominant player in the technology industry both in South Florida and beyond.
Davis focuses his corporate and securities practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and large financings. He routinely provides representation to publicly traded clients having an aggregate market capitalization of over $20 billion. The majority of his clients are technology players, ranging from information technology companies, to life sciences/biotech companies, to companies focusing on renewable energy sources.
Active in South Florida’s technology, business, and nonprofit communities, Davis became chairman of the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Board of Directors in 2018, and is a past chair of The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s official economic development organization.
