Amsterdam, The Netherlands (March 7, 2008) — The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has been honored by Le Tableau as the fastest growing law firm in the Netherlands over the past five years. The Le Tableau award was accepted by Peter Roorda and Bernard Stuivinga, managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Amsterdam office, at the annual event sponsored by KSU, the publisher of several trade magazines and the annual "State of the Bar" report in the Netherlands.
“This honor is a testament to our unique culture,” Roorda said. “When we opened our doors for business five short years ago I was confident that we would grow quickly and soon develop a significant presence in Europe. Today it is confirmed that there is a place for a firm with our culture and business model in the top markets in Europe.”
“We owe this honor to our clients, to their trust in us,” added Stuivinga. “We are also grateful for the support of our colleagues in America. Together, we’ve been able to strengthen Greenberg Traurig’s global stature. There is still some hard work to do, but I believe this award indicates that we’re prepared for the challenges ahead.”
Greenberg Traurig, with more than 1,750 attorneys in 29 offices in the United States, Europe and Asia, was recently named 2007 USA Law Firm of the Year by Chambers and Partners.
Greenberg Traurig’s Amsterdam office was its first outside of the United States. It is currently home to more than 75 lawyers, tax advisors and civil law professionals trained in European and Dutch law who work closely with lawyers throughout the firm.
