Companies providing goods and services to casinos may find themselves in a New York state of mind this summer thanks to the publication of proposed rules governing their licensing for the nascent commercial casino industry in the Empire State. In anticipation of the award of three commercial casino licenses this fall, the New York State Gaming Commission has recently published proposed rules for the licensing and registration of gaming facility (casino) vendors.
Under the proposal, three different levels of vendors are identified:
- “Casino vendors” providing goods or services to a gaming facility applicant or licensee that directly relate to gaming activity, including but not limited to gaming equipment manufacturers, suppliers and repairers and independent testing laboratories.
