Victoria Davis Lockard is a shareholder in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and focuses her practice in the areas of products liability, mass torts, consumer class actions and other complex litigation. She handles high-stakes, single-plaintiff cases (including through trial) and complex litigation, including MDLs, coordinated state actions and class actions

Victoria also advises a variety of manufacturers and distributors in connection with compliance matters, risk assessment, product recalls and reporting activities governed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, FDA, FTC, and other federal and state regulatory bodies.

  • National counsel team for manufacturer of prescription propoxyphene containing pain products (generic Darvon and Darvocet) in multi-district litigation (MDL) and coordinated state court actions in California and other states. Obtained complete Mensing dismissal of all claims against client in MDL.
  • National counsel team for worldwide medical device manufacturer of insulin pumps, neurological stimulation products, defibrillators, laser endotracheal tubes, surgical tools and implants.
  • National counsel team for manufacturer of surgical mesh and patches, sutures, vascular grafts, and cardiovascular and endovascular prostheses and devices.
  • Acted as lead counsel in products liability matters on behalf of manufacturer of skid-steer loaders, mini-track loaders and other construction equipment.
  • Acted as core products liability counsel for multinational appliance manufacturer in serious injury, property damage and subrogation product liability suits, including fire, explosion and water damage.
  • Represented consumer product manufacturers in national recalls and compliance activities related to sporting goods and biking equipment, apparel, children’s products, building products, music and educational products, electronics, personal protective equipment, and other goods.
  • First and second-chair trial counsel in numerous complex medical negligence cases on behalf of hospitals, physicians and other medical providers.
  • Regional counsel team for pharmaceutical company in MDL involving blood clotting drugs used in open heart surgery.
  • Preferred counsel team to a Fortune 20 manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • National counsel team for leading human tissue allograft manufacturer in MDL and class action litigation filed in more than 20 states.
  • Defense team in the first multi-party "toxic mold" suit filed in Georgia.
  • National trial team for one of the world’s largest chemical companies in asbestos litigation in Madison County, Illinois and other jurisdictions.
  • Defense team in a mass action brought by more than 1,600 coal miners alleging person injuries from isocyanate exposure in Alabama.
  • Acted as litigation counsel for the world’s largest integrated provider of dialysis products and services.
  • Acted as lead counsel for one of the world’s leading apparel companies in noise-induced hearing loss cases involving several hundred plaintiffs.
