Justin Hedge is an antitrust practitioner, leveraging years of experience before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division, and State Attorneys General to provide clients practical advice on their business priorities.

Focused on guiding clients through the clearance process for mergers and joint ventures, Justin has represented companies and private equity groups on numerous high-profile transactions. His work encompasses a wide range of industries, including energy, health care, and technology, among others. Justin’s experience spans not only Hart-Scott-Rodino Act investigations, but also the emerging regulatory thicket of state merger control laws.

Additionally, Justin’s practice involves counseling clients on the competition law aspects of commercial practices and compliance strategies, and defending such practices when investigated by government authorities. He has litigated price fixing, monopolization, and other antitrust claims as well as mergers—including experience before the FTC’s Administrative Law Judge.

Serving in the leadership of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section for a decade, Justin is engaged on the cutting edge of antitrust legal and policy developments. Currently, Justin is serving an appointment to the Section’s Books & Treatises Committee, and he was previously the editorial board chair for the Section’s monopolization law handbook.
