As first- and second-chair trial counsel, Brandon has obtained defense verdicts for clients in several nationwide cases. A high-energy, passionate lawyer, he thrives in the courtroom and has a unique ability to connect with jurors, capture their attention, and explain complex evidence creatively and effectively. Brandon’s trial experience and excitement for the courtroom has resulted in a national practice that focuses on complex litigation of all types, defending a variety of clients in personal injury, products liability, and pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care litigation.

Brandon is experienced in virtually all aspects of litigation, including conducting and defending depositions, preparing corporate and expert witnesses, drafting dispositive and evidentiary motions, managing local counsel, mediating and negotiating favorable settlements, and defending clients in arbitrations throughout the United States. He prepares every case for the possibility of trial and strategically engages in discovery to align with trial themes and defenses. Having served as both national and local counsel, Brandon is particularly familiar with the rules and procedures regarding multidistrict litigation, and he has assisted in the negotiation of various pretrial and case management orders that govern coordinated discovery. Brandon also regularly counsels consumer product manufacturers on complying with the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA) and advises clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and recall handling strategies based on frameworks set forth by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and other agencies. He is also actively involved with the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and is intimately familiar with critical issues that affect the juvenile products industry.

Brandon’s passion for law extends to mentoring younger lawyers and aspiring lawyers. As a former adjunct professor, he has coached students who competed in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court competition. Under his leadership, these students won multiple best brief and best advocate awards, several regional championships, and the 2017 national championship. Brandon also coached high school students in mock trial and moot court, leading five teams to the state championship final round in the first six years that the program existed. Over the years, the students have won numerous best brief and best advocate awards, and three teams have won the state championship.

In his spare time, Brandon enjoys traveling, hosting social events, and collecting vintage bowties.
