Greenberg Traurig’s Ed Wallace Named to City & State’s ‘New York City Power 100’ List

NEW YORK - Feb. 18, 2025 Edward C. Wallace, co-chair of the New York office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, is recognized on City & State’s 2025 “New York City Power 100” list. Wallace is consistently included on this list and was named a 2020 Lifetime Achievement honoree.

The list features leading New Yorkers including lawyers, politicians, prosecutors, lobbyists, journalists, leaders, and advocates shaping politics and policies across the city’s five boroughs, according to the publication. City & State notes that “Thanks to Edward Wallace’s efforts, Greenberg Traurig is a leader in the field of government affairs-focused law firms.” Honorees will be recognized at a celebratory cocktail reception Feb. 19 in Midtown Manhattan.

Wallace, founder of Greenberg Traurig’s New York City Government Law & Policy Practice, serves as a trusted advisor to companies engaging with government entities. He has represented major institutions and real estate companies, including Columbia University, New York University, Fordham University, Extell, and Fetner Properties, in real estate development projects and major government service providers including JCDecaux and Hornblower. Before transitioning to the private sector as vice president for finance at Boston Properties, Wallace was a city council member-at-large for Manhattan and then the chief of staff for the New York City Council president. Wallace is a member of the executive committee for the French American Foundation and New Yorkers for Parks, where he previously served as chair. He is also the vice president and outside general counsel for the Citizens Budget Commission.
