Greenberg Traurig’s Kristen J. Lonergan, Samir NeJame, Stephen L. Rabinowitz & Edward C. Wallace Named to City & State’s 2023 Real Estate Power 100 List

NEW YORK July 5, 2023 – Shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s New York office, Kristen J. LonerganSamir NeJameStephen L. Rabinowitz, and Edward C. Wallace, have been named to the 2023 City & State ‘Real Estate Power 100’ list.

According to the publication, the ‘Real Estate Power 100’ list highlights the industry executives, commissioners, lawmakers, lobbyists, advocates, and activists involved in New York real estate’s future. Lonergan, NeJame, Rabinowitz, and Wallace have been recognized in previous editions of City & State’s ‘Real Estate Power 100’ list.

Lonergan serves as co-chair of the firm’s New York Real Estate Practice. She counsels REITs, investment funds, developers, lenders, and other clients on the acquisition, development, financing, and disposition of multifamily, office, hotel, and other types of properties throughout New York and the rest of the country. Lonergan has previously been recognized on The Legal 500 United States’, ‘Real Estate’ and ‘Real Estate Finance’ lists.

NeJame serves as chair of the firm’s New York State Government Law & Policy Practice and represents clients in legislative, regulatory, and procurement matters at various levels of government. He focuses his practice on representing the New York real estate industry, including the Real Estate Board of New York, and three of the country’s largest landlords: SL Green, Brookfield, and Tishman Speyer. Additionally, NeJame represents many of New York’s most iconic tourist destinations and a wide variety of clients in their procurement engagements with New York’s many agencies in the areas of technology, security, and professional services.

Rabinowitz serves as co-chair of the firm’s Global Real Estate Practice. He is an adviser to a wide variety of institutional and entrepreneurial investors, private equity funds, developers, asset managers, and operators in the acquisition, financing, development, and leasing of all classes of commercial properties including hospitality, multifamily, office, and industrial properties. Rabinowitz has led large real estate transactions involving iconic U.S. properties, including New York’s Peter Cooper Village/ Stuyvesant Town and 11 Madison Avenue; Chicago’s Willis Tower; and San Francisco’s Park Merced. He has also previously been recognized on The Legal 500 United States’, ‘Real Estate and Construction’ and ‘Real Estate Finance’ lists.

Wallace serves as co-chair of the firm's New York office. With professional experience in law, the real estate business, and government, he serves as a trusted advisor to companies, particularly those doing business with government. Wallace currently serves as outside counsel to JCDecaux North America. He has advised Extell/Carlyle, Silverstein/El Ad, Columbia University, NYU, and Fordham on major real estate development projects. He counsels government service providers including Hornblower, the provider of NYC Ferry. He has been listed in multiple editions of The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. Wallace is also consistently included on City and State’s ‘New York City Power 100’ list and was named a 2020 Lifetime Achievement honoree. He was recently named chair of the French American Foundation.
